Is there a way to connect my Ipod to my stock G6 Stereo and the subs that are connected by a line out?

I have a fm transmitter but the quality sucks. My friend got a sirius radio system and when he turns his dock on all other radio stations are blocked out and his FM transmitter works great. What causes this?
