Should i bleach my hair bright red?

A while ago I dyed my hair a ‘scarlet red’ in the words of Jess but it quickly faded and turned a ginger brown kinda colour. I want to go red again but a brighter red, more like a fire engine red. However, when I dye it the colour fades really quickly. If I heavily bleach it bright red all over will it turn orange on top of my brown colour that I have now? Also I want to know if the colour will fade. Help!?
