I want to spend less then 2k on a cheap maybe sports car. looking at the ford probe any suggestions?

Ok, first off, my old Probes were fun as hell, BUT they have their fair share of problems and repairs are not cheap at all. I'm saying if you have no mechanical knowledge and the distributor fails (known problem with v6 probes) then you're looking at a $700+ bill. So, based on you looking at $2k or under cars, I'd ume you have limited funds and I'd personally go the Civic or other reliable car route. If you seriously want a Probe though, shoot for a '97 4cyl 5spd, it's plenty quick, turns on a dime and is as reliable a probe as you'll find.
